چکیده
In the current work, high density polyethylene (HDPE) composites were fabricated via Friction Stir Processing (FSP). A two-phase Fe-Fe3O4 powder was used as reinforcing agents. The extremely low cost obtained from shot-blasting of as-forged carbon steel components. X-ray diffraction (XRD) to phase analysis and evaluation purity as-received powder. size distribution determined by Laser Particle Size Analysis (LPSA). Also, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) employed investigate particles morphology. processing a cylindrical tool impose severe plastic deformation material stirring in order improve mechanical properties distribution. tribological samples examined. According results, both friction coefficient specific wear rate FSPed reduced remarkably. hardness tensile strength higher than HDPE samples; however, their elongations lower.

Tribological Behavior and Mechanical Properties of Graphene/PEEK Composites
PEEK has been implemented in various orthopaedic applications due to its many beneficial mechanical, tribological, and radiolucent properties. These properties can be further tailored by introducing fillers into the PEEK matrix. In this work, graphene has been incorporated due to its high mechanical resistance, intrinsic stiffness, and lubricating properties [2].
متن کاملThe mechanical and thick section bending behavior of friction stir processed aluminum plate
Friction stir processing (FSP) 2519-T87 aluminum plate results in enhanced ductility, 25% strain at fracture. However, the yield strength in the FSP zone drops to 175 MPa from 400 MPa. Actively cooling the plate during FSP increases the yield strength to 185 MPa and decreases ductility to 20% strain at fracture. Thick bending of a plate of the alloy was demonstrated after the surface was subje...

Abstrct :In this study, SiC particles were incorporated by using Friction Stir Processing (FSP) into the 6351 aluminium alloy to form particulate composite materials. Sampels were subjected to constant rotational and traverse speeds of the FSP tool with and without SiC reinforcements. Microstructural observations were carried out by employing optical microscopy of the modifiedsurfaces. Mechanic...
متن کاملThe Strength of Friction Stir Welded and Friction Stir Processed Aluminium Alloys
Local strength of friction stir (FS) welds and FS processed aluminium alloys in heat treatable aluminium alloys is dominated by precipitation hardening. Strengthening due to stored dislocations is generally limited to 40MPa, and grain size strengthening is generally less than 10MPa. Local crystallographic texture can cause yield strength variation on the order of 5%. Published models for streng...
متن کاملThe Effect of Vibration during Friction Stir Welding on Corrosion Behavior, Mechanical Properties, and Machining Characteristics of Stir Zone
Different methods have been applied to refine various characteristics of the zone (or nugget) obtained by friction stir welding (FSW). In the current research, joining components are vibrated normal to the weld line during FSW to refine the zone microstructure. This process is described as friction stir vibration welding (FSVW). The effect of FSVW on mechanical properties, corrosion behavior, a...
